Random thoughts after a long rewarding day!
Work - picking the kids up from Summer Camp - coming home to cook and clean - get the kids bathed and in bed - more cleaning -more laundry and lunches for camp again tomorrow! Then a few minutes of Foxnews for the latest updates before brushing my teeth, showering and snuggling into my bed!
My life is/has been far from perfect at times. We aren't rich but we don't NEED for anything and we don't want for too much either! I have 3 beautiful kids who are healthy, smart and truly the loves of my life. I have a husband who's wonderful - ofcourse we've had and will always have our problems/moments, but we love each other more than most people dream of loving someone or dream of being loved. We are a team - Ofcourse there are things in life that I haven't done that I'd like to do someday. I'd like to go to college - I'd like to be something when I grow up *smiles* but you know what...I'm a MOMMY and that is more important and rewarding than just about any job I can think of. Challenging, yes it is challenging too!!!!!! I could go to college and study for a exam and ace it - or fail it and take it again. You only have one chance with being a parent - and you never know what may be thrown at you. I could make all the money in the world and not be happy - truth is - I work 6 days a week - 40+ hours and I am pretty happy with my life. I know people who've gone to school for years to only get a job paying a $2-$3 dollars more than I am making - they have a stressfull job and complain about it all the time and then there is the student loans they have to pay back. So in the long run I wonder if it is really worth it unless all that education is really for your JOB OF PASSION not the MOOLAH is pays.
Above all this - I am so thankful
I have my friends in real life who I don't talk to every day - but I know and they know they mean the world to me! I don't have to tell them - they just know! Tam, my best friend from High School - I haven't talked to her in AGES - I mean TOO LONG - she's busy with life and so am I! But, I'm going home soon and I'll call her and we'll surely hook up and it will be like OLD TIMES!
My friend Aim who I haven't seen since Easter of this year. The closeness she and I share is unexplainable! She suprised me a couple years ago and showed up at my door after not seeing her for 7 years! It was like we had never been apart!
I couldn't forget my dear friend Kaylee! I don't talk to her as often as I'd like to either! She has a beautiful family too! Kaylee is my Livejournal pal that Greg and I met up with in Jamaica last Summer! What a blast we had...........we are seriously planning a trip back there in a couple of years! Weeeeeeeeee
I have online friends that I rarely talk to anymore but I'll get a msg now and then asking how my family is or telling me exciting news from their part of the world!
I'm rambling!
Life is good! How is yours?
